Tell me what you have in mind, when you’d like to move, and which areas you’re considering. We can get started with a conversation, even if your move is still months away.
2. Understand your budget
If you’ll need a mortgage, a lender can help you understand your options and get preapproved. We’ll keep your search within a budget you’re comfortable with, including the monthly payment, closing costs, and room for repairs and upkeep.
3. Explore homes and communities
We’ll look at homes in the areas you like. During showings, I’ll help you look beyond the paint and finishes to the layout, condition, location, and things that may need attention.
4. Make an informed offer
When you find a home you like, we’ll look at comparable sales and talk about price, timing, and the terms of your offer. I’ll explain what each part means before you decide.
5. Work through the details
Once your offer is accepted, I’ll help keep track of deadlines and stay in touch with your lender, inspector, and closing team. We’ll work through any questions that come up along the way.
6. Prepare for closing and your move
I’ll help arrange the final walkthrough and confirm the closing and possession details with you. You’ll know what’s left to do before you get your keys.
